Wanico reports you "The jacket artwork affair" and "The affair of the spelling mistake of the title"
Hi, this is Wanico. Poor Naomi, she isn't still in good shape depending on the day after cold, so I tell you about "The jacket artwork affair" and "The affair of the spelling mistake on the title" instead of Naomi!
First, about the jacket artwork affair,
This time, Naomi drew the jacket artwork depicting a shop "Dolphin Donuts", which is running in Naomi's mind, so initially Naomi wrote letters on the shop's sign.
But unfortunately, this design didn't meet the jacket guideline. It needs on any jackets requires not including except song's title and artist name. Naomi received an email from a distribution agent that said if she wouldn't fix it, she couldn't release it. It's so-so severe. Though I think it's probably because of avoiding consumer confusion, it's important.
And Naomi did fix the letters into illustration.
Since Naomi was struggling with herself until the deadline of submission of the new release, she couldn't help fixing it with depression.
That's all about the jacket artwork affair, but it was not a true ending.
The affair of the spelling mistake of the title occured next.
The night after submitting the new jacket, Naomi noticed that she mistook the spelling of the title before sleeping!
I didn't know what drove Naomi crazy, but she spelled extra 'p' on the third letter of 'appartment' of the track #2 title, "The Memory of Tiny Apartment". It's a little difficult to see at a glance, though.
She had already reported the title with the spelling mistake to the Japanese record association, and JASRAC (Japanese music&lylics copyrights association), and many music platforms, so she complained to herself in vain and almost cried saying like, "Because French spells 'appartement' with two 'p' !!! I'll go to bed!". (She's very funny.)
After all, she consulted the problem to these organizations the next day, and staff thankfully dealt with it fluently!
To say the least, the people more difficult were them, not Naomi. Naomi needs to be more careful from now on.
I feel that preparing her new release hasn't been done yet while this scatters, and actually these events took time of preparation away from her. I hope Naomi will get better soon and do her best!
